As of June 24, in the South Federal District 73.300 tonnes of grain were harvested from 17.600 ha under grain and grain legumes, the productivity totaled 41.8 c/ha.

In particular, in Krasnodar krai the winter barley was harvested from 12.000 ha, the productivity totaled 48.7 c/ha. Grain yield in clean weight is forecasted to total not less than 8.7 mln tonnes against 8.1 mln tonnes in 2007. Kuban agricultural producers will start harvesting of the winter wheat since July 1.

In Stavropol krai 3.500 ha of grain were harvested from 1.000 ha, the productivity- 35 c/ha.

Mass harvesting of grain in the SFD will start in the first decade of July.
